For the care and convenience of our patients, Oncology Hematology Care offers home infusion services. These include:
- Continuous infusion of chemotherapy via home infusion pump for drugs such as Fluorouracil (5fu), Adriamycin, Vincristine, Taxol, Cisplatin, Leustatin and Velban. Home infusion of chemotherapy requires a central line or implanted vascular device.
- Insertion of mid-clavicular line to administer non-vescicant medications only.
- Central line care: We provide patient/caregiver instruction on central line care, as well as line care supplies
- Injectables: Administration of some injectables, patient teaching for self administration and provision of supplies
- Oral chemotherapy agents for Medicare patients: xeloda, melphalan, vp 16, cytoxan, temodar
- Intravenous antibiotic therapy, such as vancomycin, cubicin, rocephin
