For This Service
Hematology is the branch of medicine that focuses on diseases and disorders of the blood and blood-forming tissues, such as the bone marrow and spleen. Our hematologists are physicians who completed a three-year residency in internal medicine, followed by at least two years of training in diseases and disorders of the blood. They are board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology or hematology, ensuring they meet the profession’s highest standards.
Our hematologists evaluate and treat:
- Abnormal bleeding (for example, hemophilia) and clotting
- Benign and malignant disorders of the blood cells, a broad spectrum of diseases ranging from anemia to leukemia
- Other hematologic malignancies such as Hodgkin’s disease, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and multiple myeloma
Our hematologists use sophisticated laboratory tests and imaging to diagnose blood disorders, create a treatment plan tailored for your need, and provide ongoing management of your condition.
